My name is James Miller and I’m a visual effects artist and supervisor.

Over the years I have the chance to work on a lot of iconic films, for some equally iconic companies. From Star Wars to Jurassic Park, Dreamworks and Industrial Light & Magic, I’ve been fortunate to work with the biggest names in film.

My passion for film extends outside of my 9 to 5, and I create short films, having a chance to try my hand at additional crafts like Directing and Cinematography. Traditional drawing and painting have become a joy, I try and keep my skills sharp with creating little clips in different software packages to know what’s out there and how I can use them to make me a stronger artist. In visual effects especially I feel the learning is never done.

Along with this I create tutorials and enjoy being part of panels, reviews and speaking engagements to try and give back to the community.

I wanted to document my journey, and give all these different aspects of my life a home, and that’s what I’ve put together here. I’ve created some galleries for your viewing pleasure, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there’s anything you’d like to see that I’ve not included yet.
